While many echoed strong opinions, some others were slightly more critical of the remaster. Game Informer’s Andrew Reiner said the title is “Well worth revisiting over a decade later to see how your theories hold up.” while AGC’s Jeremy Penter said it’s “A very good remaster with solid technical improvements where they can be applied and transparently allowing the Alan Wake story to be experienced again or the first time.” Across the majority of reviews, the sentiment seems to be that Alan Wake Remastered is the greatest way to experience the cult classic.
